Motorcyclist seriously injured in Whitby collision

A motorcyclist is in hospital following a collision in Whitby Thursday afternoon.

Durham Regional Police say they received the call for the collision involving a motorcycle and a van at around 5:15 p.m.

The motorcycle rider was transported to a Toronto-area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene.

The cause of the collision is unknown.
